Ingredients:

Prepare Gram Flour Batter:

-Baisan (Gram flour) sifted 1 Cup

-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed 1 & ½ tsp

-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste

-Zeera (Cumin seeds) roasted & crushed 1 & ½ tsp

-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp

-Chicken powder 1 tsp

-Zarda ka rang (Orange food color) ¼ tsp

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1 tbs

-Water ¾ Cup or as required

Prepare Aloo Katli:

-Aloo (Potatoes) peeled 3 medium

-Cooking oil for frying

-Chaat masala

Prepare Aloo Tikki:

-Aloo (Potatoes) boiled 4-5 medium

-Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 medium

-Adrak (Ginger) chopped ½ tbs

-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1 tbs

-Sabut dhania (Coriander seeds) crushed 1 tbs

-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste

-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste

-Anardana (Dried pomegranate seeds) crushed 1 & ½ tsp

-Khatai powder (Dried mango powder) 1 tsp

-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp

-Chaat masala 1 tsp

-Hari mirch (Green chilli) paste 1 & ½ tsp

-Cooking oil for frying

-Chaat masala

 

Directions:

Prepare Gram Flour Batter:

-In a bowl,add gram flour,red chilli crushed,salt,cumin seeds,turmeric powder,chicken powder, orange food color,fresh coriander,gradually add water,whisk well & set aside.

Prepare Aloo Katli:

-Cut thin slices of potatoes with the help of slicer.

-In a wok,heat cooking oil,dip potato slices in prepared gram flour batter & fry on medium flame until golden.

-Sprinkle chaat masala & serve with chutney!

Prepare Aloo Tikki:

-In a bowl,add potatoes & mash well with the help of masher.

-Add onion,ginger,fresh coriander,coriander seeds,salt,red chilli powder,dried pomegranate seeds, dried mango powder,turmeric powder,chaat masala powder,green chilli paste & mix well.

-Grease hands with oil,take small quantity of mixture (25g) & make tikkis of equal sizes.

-In a wok,heat cooking oil,dip aloo tikki in prepared gram flour batter & shallow fry on medium flame until golden (makes 25).

-Sprinkle chaat masala & serve with chutney!
