Fish fry with masala (Fried Fish)

Ingredients:

  • Kasuri methi (fenugreek leaves) 1 tbs
  • Zeera (cumin seeds) roasted & crushed 1 & ½ tsp
  • Dhania (coriander seeds) roasted & crushed 2 tsp
  • Ajwain (carom seeds) crushed ½ tsp
  • Red chili flakes 1 tbs
  • Garam masala powder (whole spice powder) 1 tsp
  • Haldee (turmeric) ½ tsp
  • Namak (salt) 1 & ½ tsp
  • Lehsan (garlic) crushed ½ tbs
  • Lemon juice 2-3 tbs

Masala

  •  Oil 2 tbs
  •  Pyaz (onion) chopped 1
  •  Tamatar (tomatoes) chopped 2
  •  Lehsan (garlic) crushed 2 tbs
  •  Hari mirch (green chilies) chopped 2-3
  •  Namak (salt) ½ tsp or to taste
  •  Fish masala ½ tbs or to taste
  •  Hara dhania (coriander leaves) handful
  •  Oil 2-3 tbs

Directions:

In a bowl add 1-10 ingredients and mix well. Fish Masala is ready.

Wash fish properly and apply fish masala and marinate for 2 hours.

To make masala, heat oil and add chopped vegetables and saute, add salt, ½ tbs of prepared fish masala and mix well until tomatoes are cooked, add chopped coriander and dish out.

Heat oil and fry marinated fish, both sides until done (6-8 mins each side).

Serve with prepared masala.
