Ingredients:
Paani (Water) as required
Shalgam (Turnip) Peeled & sliced 1 kg
Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 tbs
Namak (Salt) ½ tbs or to taste
Lal mirch (Red chili) Crushed 1 tbs or to taste
Adrak (Ginger) Julienne 1 inch piece (Optional)
Brown sugar 1 tbs
Sirka (Vinegar) ¼ cup
Rai dana (Mustard seeds) Crushed ¼ cup
Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tbs or to taste
Paani (Water) 3-4 cups boil and bring it to room temperature
Directions:
Peel and cut the turnips in thick, round slices.
In pot,add water,bring it to boil and turnip slices,boil until ¾ th done,strain and let it cool.
In turnips,add ginger garlic paste,salt,red chili crushed,ginger (julienne),brown sugar,vinegar,mustard seeds(crushed),red chili powder,water (boiled) and mix well.
Cover tightly with a lid and keep in sunlight for 3-4 days.
Turnip pickle is ready to use.

Shalgam ko cheel ker thick aur round slices mein cut ker lein.
Pot mein paani dal ker ubal lein,shalgam slices dal ker ¾ done hunay tak paka lein,strain ker ka thanda ker lein.
Shalgam mein adrak lehsan paste,namak,lal mirch (crushed),adrak (julienne),brown sugar,sirka,rai dana (crushed),lal mirch powder aur paani (boiled)dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Lid laga ker dhak lein aur sunlight mein 3-4 din kliya rakh dein.
