Ingredients:
- Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 & ½ tbs or to taste
- Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
- Dhania powder (Coriander powder) 1 & ½ tbs
- Baisan (Gram flour) roasted ½ tbs
- Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed 1 tsp
- Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 1 & ½ tbs
- Tatri (Citric acid) ¼ tsp
Behari chicken filling:
- Chicken fillets 500g
- Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 & ½ tsp
- Lemon juice 1 tbs
- Cooking oil 2-3 tbs
- Water 3-4 tbs
- Cooking oil 1 tbs
- Pyaz (Onion) chopped ½ Cup
- Gajar (Carrots) chopped ½ Cup
- Shimla mirch (Capsicum) chopped ½ Cup
- Corn kernels boiled ¼ Cup
- Namak (Salt) to taste
- Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed to taste
- Maida (All-purpose flour) 2 tbs
- Water 3 tbs
Assembling:
- Samosa patti/Manda patti as required
- Mozzarella cheese grated
- Cheddar cheese grated
- Kurkure flavor of your choice 100g
- Maida (All-purpose flour) as required
- Anday (Eggs) whisked 3
- Cooking oil for frying
Directions:
In a bowl add red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, gram flour, red chilli crushed, cumin powder, citric acid, close the container & shake well to mix it then set aside. Behari spice mix is ready.
Prepare Behari Chicken filling:
In a bowl add chicken fillets, prepared spice mix (2-3 tbs), ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, mix well & rub all over the fillets. Cover & marinate for 30 minutes.
On a cast iron pan add cooking oil & heat it.
Add marinated fillets, fry on medium flame for 2 minutes then flip the sides.
Add water, cover & cook on medium flame or until chicken is done (8-10 minutes), then cook on high flame to reduce moisture.
Turn off the flame now & shred the chicken with the help of fork.
Now move the shredded chicken on the side of cast iron. In the center add cooking oil, onion, carrots, capsicum, corn kernals, salt, black pepper crushed & mix it well for a minute.
Then mix everything altogether & set aside.
In all-purpose flour, add water and mix well to make a paste & set aside.
Assembling:
Take two samosa patti, place one samosa patti horizontally, apply all-purpose flour paste then place second samosa patti vertically over first one, it will make plus (+) sign.
Add and spread prepared chicken filling, add mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese and fold the top side so that it covers the filling.
Apply all-purpose flour paste and fold all sides to make a square box.
Make sure that all sides are properly sealed and prepare the remaining box patties similarly (makes 22-24).
In a chopper add Kurkure and chop them coarsely then transfer to a tray.
Now coat prepared box patties in all-purpose flour & dip into whisked eggs then coat in chopped Kurkure properly.
Can be stored in an air-tight container for up to 1 month in freezer.
Method 1: Deep frying
In frying pan, heat cooking oil and fry box patties from both sides until golden brown.
Method 2: Air frying
Spray non-stick oil spray on both sides & air fry them at 180C for 7-8 minutes or until golden & crispy.
Serve with tomato ketchup!

Prepare Behari Chicken filling:
Aik bowl may boneless chicken, tayar spice mix (2-3 tbs), adrak lehsan paste, lemon juice daal kar achi tarah mix karen or rub karen, dhak kar 30 minutes tak marinate karlen.
Cast iron pan may oil daal kar garam karen. Marinated chicken daal kar medium flame par 2 minutes tak fry karen or phir flip karden.
Pani daal kar dhak den or medium flame par 8-10 chicken k paknay tak pakayen (8-10 minutes), phir high flame par moisture ko reduce karen.
Flame off kar k fork ki madad se chicken ko shred karlen.
Ab chicken ko pan k sides may kar k beech may oil dalen, pyaz, gajar, shimla mirch, corn kernals, namak, kali mirch crushed daal kar aik minute taka chi tarah mix karen.
Phir chicken k sath achi tarah mix karen or alag rakhden.
Aik bowl may maida or pani daal kara chi tarah mix karlen, Flour slurry tayar hai.
Assembling:
Do samosa pattiyan len or unko darmiyan se flour slurry se chipka kar jor kar plus ka sign bana len.
Darmiyan may tayar chicken filling rakh kar cheddar cheese or mozzarella cheese daal kar pati ko fold karen or flour slurry se chipka kar band karen or box ki shakal deden.
Box patties ko achi tarah seal kar sab aik jaise box patties bana len (makes 22-24).
Aik chopper may Kurkure daal kara chi tarah chop karlen or aik bowl may daal den.
Ab tayar box patties ko pehle maida se coat karen, phir whisked anday may dubo kar chopped Kurkure se achi tarah coat karlen.
Tayar Box patties air tight container may daal kar 1 month tak freezer may rakhay jasaktay hain.

Box patties pe dono taraf non-stick spray kar k air fry may 180C par 7-8 minutes ya golden honay tak air fry karen.
