Homemade Cocoa Cereal Balls

Ingredients:

-Badam (Almonds) 40g

-Anday ki safedi (Egg white) 1

-Makhan (Butter) melted 2-3 tbs

-Brown sugar powdered 1/3 Cup or to taste

-Warm water ¼ Cup

-Instant coffee 1 tsp

-Vanilla essence ½ tsp

-Atta (Wheat flour) sifted 1 Cup & 1 tbs

-Cocoa powder ¼ Cup (30g)

-Baking soda ½ tsp

-Namak (Salt) 1 pinch

-Namak (Salt) 1 pack

 

Directions:

-In a grinder,add almonds & grind to make powder (approx. 1/3 Cup) & set aside.

-In a bowl,add egg white,butter,brown sugar & whisk well.

-In warm water,add instant coffee & mix well.

-In a bowl,add dissolved coffee,vanilla essence & whisk well.

-Add wheat flour,cocoa powder,almond powder,baking soda,salt & mix well until dough is formed (add more flour if needed).

-Shape the cereal mixture into small balls & place them onto a baking sheet.

Option # 1: Oven Baking

-Bake in preheated oven at 180C for 20 minutes.

-In the middle of the baking time,mix the cereal a little,so that it cooks evenly & doesn’t burn.

Option # 2: Pot Baking

-In a pot,place steam stand/wire rack,cover & preheat on medium flame for 10 minutes.

-Bake in pot on medium flame for 18-20 minutes.

-In the middle of the baking time,mix the cereal a little,so that it cooks evenly & doesn’t burn.

-Let them cool at room temperature.

-Store in a tightly covered container in a cool & dry place for up to 1 month.

-To serve: Add 1/2 cup of cereal to a bowl along with your favorite choice of milk.
