Healthy Nachos with Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients:

Prepare Salsa:

  • Tamatar (Tomatoes) deseeded & chopped 3 medium
  • Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 medium
  • Jalapenos chopped 2 tbs
  • Hari mirch (Green chili) chopped 1
  • Lehsan (Garlic) chopped 1 tbs
  • Paprika powder ½ tsp
  • Dried oregano ½ tsp
  • Lal mirch (Red chili) crushed ½ tsp
  • Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
  • Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp
  • Olive oil 2 tbs

Prepare Yogurt Sauce:

  • Dahi (Yogurt) hanged 1 Cup
  • Lehsan powder (Garlic powder) 1 tsp
  • Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp
  • Onion powder 1 tsp
  • Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
  • Dried parsley ½ tsp

Prepare Nachos:

  • Makai ka atta (Maize flour/Cornmeal) sifted 2 Cups
  • Chaki ka atta (Whole wheat flour) sifted 1 Cup
  • Dried oregano 1 tsp
  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Cooking oil 4 tsp
  • Pani (Water) 1 Cup or as required
  • Olive oil

Directions:

Prepare Salsa:

In bowl,add tomatoes,onion,jalapenos,green chili,garlic,paprika powder,dried oregano,red chili crushed,salt,black pepper powder,olive oil,mix well & set aside.

Prepare Yogurt Sauce:

In bowl,add yogurt,garlic powder,black pepper powder,onion powder,salt,dried parsley,mix until well combined & set aside.

Prepare Nachos:

In bowl,add maize flour/cornmeal,whole wheat flour,dried oregano,salt and mix.

Add cooking oil and mix well.

Gradually add water and knead until dough is formed,cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Take a dough and divide into four equal parts and make a ball.

Sprinkle flour and rolled out with the help of rolling pin.

Cut into triangular shape with the help of the cutter,prick with fork and brush olive oil on both sides of nachos.

On baking tray,lined with butter paper and place nachos.

Option no.1: Bake in Oven

Bake in preheated oven at 180 C for 8-10 minutes

Option no.2: Air Fried Nachos

In air fryer machine,place nachos and air fry for 8-10 minutes.

Assembling:

On serving plate,place nachos,prepared salsa,drizzle yogurt sauce,sprinkle fresh parsley & serve!
