Ingredients:
Prepare Lentil Mixture:
-Water as required
-Kali masoor daal (Black lentil gram) 1 & ½ Cup (soaked for 1 hour)
-Badam (Almonds) 12-15
-Adrak (Ginger) 1 & ½ inch piece
-Lehsan (Garlic) cloves 4-5
-Sukhi lal mirch (Dried red chillies) 8-10
-Sabut dhania (Coriander seeds) 1 & ½ tbs
-Zeera (Cumin seeds) 2 tbs
-Water ½ Cup
-Cooking oil 1/3 Cup
-Pyaz (Onion) sliced 2 medium
-Tamatar (Tomatoes) chopped 3 medium
-Himalayan pink salt 1 & ½ tsp or to taste
-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste
-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
-Water ¼ Cup or as required
-Water ½ Cup
Assembling:
-Chawal (Rice) 600g (soaked for 1 hour & boiled with salt & whole spices)
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
-Hari mirch (Green chillies) sliced 1-2
-Pyaz (Onion) fried as required
-Hari mirch (Green chilli) sliced 1
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
-Ghee (Clarified butter) 2 tbs
-Tamatar (Tomato) sliced
-Kheera (Cucumber) slices
-Pyaz (Onion) rings
Directions:
Prepare Lentil Mixture:
-In a pot,add water & bring it to boil.
-Add black lentil gram & mix well,cover & boil on medium flame until tender (14-15 minutes),strain & set aside.
-In a grinder,add almonds,ginger,garlic,dried red chillies,coriander seeds,cumin seeds,water & grind to make a thick paste & set aside.
-In a pot,add cooking oil & heat it.
-Add onion & fry until light golden.
-Add ground paste,mix well & cook for 1-2 minutes.
-Add tomatoes,pink salt,red chilli powder,turmeric powder & mix well.
-Add water,mix well & cook on medium flame until tomatoes are tender & oil separates (4-5 minutes).
-Add boiled lentil & mix well.
-Add water & mix well,cover & cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes,mix well & set aside.
Assembling:
-In a pot,add 1/3rd portion of boiled rice,cooked lentil mixture,fresh coriander,green chillies, remaining boiled rice,fried onion,green chillies,fresh coriander & clarified butter.
-Cover the pot with kitchen cloth than lid & put some weight on it than steam cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes.
-Garnish with tomato,cucumber,onion & serve!

-Kali masoor daal dal ker mix karein aur dhak ker darmiyani ancch per gul janay tak boil ker lein (14-15 minutes) phir strain ker ka side per rakh dein.
-Grinder mein badam,adrak,lehsan,sukhi lal mirch,sabut dhania,zeera aur pani dal dein aur grind ker ka thick paste bana lein & side per rakh dein.
-Pot mein cooking oil dal ker garam ker lein.
-Pyaz dal dein aur light golden ho janay tak fry ker lein.
-Ground paste dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur 1-2 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Tamatar,pink salt,lal mirch powder aur haldi powder dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Pani dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur darmiyani ancch per tamatar naram aur oil alag ho janay tak paka lein (4-5 minutes).
-Boiled kali masoor daal dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Pani dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur dhak ker halki ancch per 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein phir ache tarhan mix karein & side per rakh dein.
Assembling:
-Pot mein boiled chawal 1/3rd portion,cooked lentil mixture,hara dhania,hari mirchein,hara dhania aur ghee dal dein.
-Pot ko kitchen cloth aur lid sa cover ker lein aur weight rakh ker halki ancch per 8-10 minutes kliya steam cook ker lein.
-Tamatar,kheera aur pyaz sa garnish ker ka serve karein!
