Dhaka Fried Fish

Ingredients:

  • Boneless fish ½ kg (2 inch pieces)
  • Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) ½ tbs
  • Lemon juice 2 tbs
  • Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed ½ tbs
  • Zeera (Cumin seeds) roasted & crushed 1 tsp
  • Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
  • Paprika powder 1 tsp
  • Anda (Egg) whisked 1
  • Maida (All-purpose flour) 4-5 tbs
  • Cornflour 3-4 tbs
  • Chicken powder 1 tsp
  • Safed til (Sesame seeds) roasted 2-3 tbs
  • Sirka (Vinegar) 1 tbs
  • Safed til (Sesame seeds) roasted
  • Cooking oil for frying

Directions:

In a bowl,add fish,ginger garlic paste,lemon juice,red chilli crushed,cumin seeds,salt,paprika powder and mix well,cover & marinate for 30 minutes.

Add egg,all-purpose flour,cornflour,chicken powder,sesame seeds,vinegar & mix well.

On each fish piece,sprinkle sesame seeds.

In a wok,heat cooking oil & fry on low flame until golden brown.

Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
