Ingredients:
Prepare Aloo Tikki:
- Aalo (Potatoes) peeled & halved ½ kg
- Water 2 & ½ Cups
- Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste
- Chaat masala ½ tsp
- Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
- Sabut dhania (Coriander seeds) crushed ½ tbs
- Ajwain (Carom seeds) ¼ tsp
- Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
- Zeera (Cumin seeds) roasted & crushed ½ tsp
- Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed ½ tsp
- Dashi Chicken powder 1 tsp
- Adrak (Ginger) grated 1 & ½ tsp
- Hari mirch (Green chilli) crushed 1 tbs
- Lemon juice 1 & ½ tbs
- Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 2-3 tbs
- Dashi Breadcrumbs 1 & ½ Cup or as required
- Anday (Eggs) 2-3
- Cooking oil for frying
Prepare Chutney:
- Cooking oil 2 tbs
- Zeera (Cumin seeds) ½ tsp
- Ajwain (Carom seeds) ¼ tsp
- Lehsan (Garlic) crushed 1 tbs
- Imli pulp (Tamarind pulp) ¾ Cup
- Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) ½ tsp or to taste
- Namak (Salt) ¼ tsp or to taste
- Gurr (Jaggery) crushed 3-4 tbs
- Water ½ Cup or as required
Assembling:
- Dahi (Yogurt) whisked
- Band gobhi (Cabbage) shredded
- Pyaz (Onion) finely sliced
- Shimla mirch (Capsicum) finely chopped
- Tamatar (Tomatoes) deseeded & chopped
- Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
Directions:
Prepare Aloo Tikki:
In a saucepan,add potatoes,water & bring it to boil,cover & boil on medium flame until tender (8-10 minutes) then strain.
In a bowl,add boiled potatoes and mash well.
Add red chilli powder,chaat masala,salt,coriander seeds,carom seeds,turmeric powder,cumin seeds,red chilli crushed,chicken powder,ginger,green chilli crushed,lemon juice,fresh coriander & mix until well combined.
Grease hands with oil,take a small quantity of mixture (70g) and make patties of equal sizes.
In one dish,add breadcrumbs and in another dish,add eggs & whisk well.
Now dip aalo tikki in whisked eggs then coat with breadcrumbs (makes 9-10).
In a frying pan,heat cooking oil & shallow fry aalo tikki on medium flame from both sides until golden.
Prepare Chutney:
In a saucepan,add cooking oil,cumin seeds,carom seeds,garlic & mix well.
Add tamarind pulp & mix well.
Add red chilli powder,salt,jaggery & mix well.
Add water and mix well,bring it to boil and cook on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
Let it cool.
Assembling:
On aalo tikki,add yogurt,cabbage,onion,capsicum,tomato,fresh coriander & prepared chutney.
Serve chatpatti aalo tikki with chutney!

Saucepan mein aalo aur pani dal dein aur ubal anay dein,dhak dein aur darmiyani ancch per gul janay tak boil ker lein (8-10 minutes) phir strain ker lein.
Bowl mein boiled aalo dal ker ache tarhan mash ker lein.
Lal mirch powder,chaat masala,namak,sabut dhania,ajwain,haldi powder,zeera,lal mirch crushed, chicken powder,adrak,chicken powder,hari mirch crushed,lemon juice aur hara dhania dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Haathon ko oil sa grease karein,mixture ki small quantity (70g) lein aur ek jaisay sizes ka patties tayyar ker lein.
Ek dish mein breadcrumbs dal dein aur dosray bowl mein anday dal ker ache tarhan whisk ker lein.
Ab aalo tikki ko pheetay hoye anday mein dip karein phir breadcrumbs mein coat ker lein (makes 9-10).
Frying pan mein cooking oil garam karein aur aalo tikki ko darmiyani ancch per dono sides sa golden ho janay tak fry ker lein.
Prepare Chutney:
Saucepan mein cooking oil,zeera,ajwain aur lehsan dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Imli pulp dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
Lal mirch powder,namak aur gurr dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Pani dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ubal anay ka bad darmiyani ancch per 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein.
Thanda ker lein.
Assembling:
Aalo tikki per dahi,band gobhi,pyaz,shimla mirch,tamatar,hara dhania aur tayyar chutney dal dein.
Chatpatti aalo tikki ko chutney ka saath serve karein!
