Ingredients:
- Chana daal (Split Bengal gram) soaked overnight 2 & ½ Cups
- Pakola Full cream Milk 3 Cups
- Pakola Full cream Milk ¼ Cup or as required
- Ghee (Clarified Butter) 1 Cup
- Sugar 1 & ¼ Cup or to taste
- Ghee (Clarified Butter) 2 tbs
- Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder) 1 tsp
- Khoya 1 Cup
- Kishmish (Raisins) 2 tbs
- Pista (Pistachios) sliced 2 tbs
- Badam (Almonds) sliced 2 tbs
- Badam pista (Almonds & pistachios) sliced
Directions:
In a wok add split Bengal gram, milk, mix well & bring it to boil. Cover & cook on low flame until lentil is tender & milk is reduced.
Transfer to a chopper & grind it. Add milk, grind to make paste then set aside.
In a wok add ghee & let it melt.
Add ground lentil mixture, mix well & cook on low flame until color changes (approx. 18-20 minutes).
Mix well continuously & cook on low flame until ghee separates (approx. 18-20 minutes).
Add sugar & mix well cook on low flame until sugar melts (10-12 minutes).
Add ghee (if required) & mix well & cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add cardamom powder, khoya, mix well & cook on low flame for 7-8 minutes.
Add raisins, pistachios, almonds, mix well & cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes, then set aside.
On a clean surface, place a butter paper & place a cookie cutter over it.
Add chana daal halwa in cutter & press to set the barfi. Add almonds & pistachios over barfi & press it again.
Remove barfi cutter (makes 20) & let it set for 30 minutes then serve!

Aik karahi may chana daal or doodh daal kar ubal len, ab dhak kar dheemi anch par gal janay or doodh khatam honay tak pakalen.
Ubli hui daal ko chopper may daal kar achi tarah grind karlen.
Doodh daal kar grind karen or paste bana len.
Aik karahi may ghee daal kar melt karlen.
Ab grind kia hua paste daal kar mix karen or dheemi anch par rang badalne tak pakayen (approx. 18-20 mins).
Milatay jayen or dheemi anch par ghee alag honay tak pakayen (approx. 18-20).
Cheeni daal kar mix karen or dheemi anch par cheeni ghulnay tak pakayen (approx. 10-12 minutes).
Ghee (agar zarurat ho to) daal kar mix karen or 2-3 minutes tak pakayen.
Ab elaichi powder or khoya daal kara chi tarah mix karen or dheemi anch par 7-8 minutes tak pakayen.
Kishmish, pista or badam daal kar mix karen or dheemi anch par 4-5 minutes tak pakayen.
Clean surface pe butter paper len or us par cookie cutter rakhen. Chana daal halwa daal kar press karen, badam pista daal kar dubara press kar k set karen.
Barfi ko cookie cutter se nikal kar (makes 20) 30 minutes tak rest den k set hojaye or serve karen!
