Orange Almond Cake

Ingredients:

-Sugar 1 Cup (200g)

-Orange zest 2 tbs

-Makhan (Butter) unsalted soft 115g

-Anday (Eggs) 2 (Room Temperature)

-Maida (All-purpose flour) 1 & ½ Cup (180g)

-Almond flour (¼ Cup) 50g

-Baking powder 1 tsp

-Baking soda ½ tsp

-Orange juice ½ Cup (Room temperature)

-Doodh (Milk) ½ Cup (Room temperature)

-Icing as required

-Badam (Almonds) Toasted & halved

-Glazed Orange slice

-Podina (Mint Leave)

 

Direction:

-In a bowl, add sugar, orange zest, & mix well & set aside.

-In another bowl, add butter, beat on medium speed for 2-3 minutes.

-Add orange infused sugar, beat on medium speed for 2-3 minutes.

-Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition until the mixture turns pale & fluffy.

-In a sifter, add all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, baking soda & sift & fold well.

-Add orange juice, fold well, add milk, fold until well combined.

-Pour cake batter in a greased bundt pan, tap few times & place in a pre-heated oven at 180C for 18-20 minutes.

-Garnish with icing, badam, glazed orange slices.
