Ingredients:
- Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) 1 tsp
- Himalayan pink salt ½ tsp or to taste
- Chaat masala 1 tsp
- Lehsan paste (Garlic paste) 1 & ½ tsp
- Lemon juice 1-2 tbs
- Surmai (King fish) pieces 750g
- Khashkhash (Poppy seeds) ½ Cup
- Badam (Almonds) 9-10 soaked & peeled
- Water ¼ Cup
- Cooking oil 3-4 tbs
- Pyaz (Onion) grated 1 large
- Lehsan (Garlic) finely chopped 1 tbs
- Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) 1 tsp or to taste
- Himalayan pink salt 1 tsp or to taste
- Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 1 tsp
- Hari mirch (Green chilli) chopped 1 tbs
- Water ½ Cup
- Cooking oil 3-4 tbs
- Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
Directions:
In a bowl,add turmeric powder,pink salt,chaat masala,garlic paste,lemon juice & mix well.
On king fish pieces,apply prepared marinade & marinate for 1 hour.
Wash thoroughly poppy seeds with water 2-3 times & strain.
On sil batta (grinding stone),add poppy seeds,almonds & grind well.
Gradually add water while grinding to make a thick paste & set aside.
On an iron griddle,add cooking oil,onion,garlic & sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Add khashkhash paste,red chilli powder,pink salt,cumin powder,green chilli & mix well.
Gradually add water,mix well & cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes,cover & cook on low flame for 5-6 minutes & set aside.
On the same griddle,add cooking oil,marinated fish & fry on medium flame from both sides for 2-3 minutes.
Add prepared khashkhash chutney on both sides of fried fish & fry on medium flame for 2 minutes from both sides.
Sprinkle fresh coriander & serve!

Bowl mein haldi powder,pink salt,chaat masala,lehsan paste aur lemon juice dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Surmai pieces per tayyar marinade laga lein aur 1 hour kliya marinate ker lein.
Khashkhash ko pani sa 2-3 dafa ache tarhan dho ker strain ker lein.
Sil batta (grinding stone) per khashkhash aur badam dal ker ache tarhan grind ker lein.
Thora thora ker ka pani shami karein aur grind ker ka thick paste tayyar ker lein & side per rakh dein.
Iron griddle per cooking oil,pyaz aur lehsan dal ker 2-3 minutes kliya sauté ker lein.
Khashkhash paste,lal mirch powder,pink salt,zeera powder aur hari mirch dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Thora thora ker ka pani shamil karein aur halki ancch per 10-12 minutes kliya paka lein aur dhak ker halki ancch per 5-6 minutes kliya paka lein & side per rakhd ein.
Us he tawa per cooking oil aur marinated fish dal dein aur darmiyani ancch per dono sides sa 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein.
Tayyar khashkhash chutney ko fried fish ki dono sides per laga lein aur darmiyani ancch per dono sides sa 2 minutes kliya fry ker lein.
