Ingredients:
-Chana daal (Split bengal gram) 1 Cup (soaked for 2 hours)
-Mong daal (Yellow lentil) ¼ Cup (soaked for 2 hours)
-Haldi powder (Turmeric powder) 1 tsp
-Water 5 Cups
-Cooking oil 4-5 tbs
-Pyaz (Onion) sliced 2 medium
-Tamatar (Tomatoes) finely chopped 2 large
-Adrak (Ginger) grated ½ tbs
-Lehsan (Garlic) grated 1 tbs
-Hari mirch (Green chilli) crushed 1 & ½ tsp
-Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
-Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) ½ tbs or to taste
-Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 1 tsp
-Garam masala powder ½ tsp
-Water ¼ Cup or as required
-Water ¼ Cup (if required)
Prepare Tadka:
-Cooking oil 3-4 tbs
-Lehsan (Garlic) sliced 2 cloves
-Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 tsp
-Sabut lal mirch (Button red chillies) 2-3
-Kashmiri lal mirch (Kashmiri red chilli) powder ½ tsp
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped 1 tbs
-Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
Directions:
-In a pot,add split bengal gram,yellow lentil,turmeric powder,water,mix well & bring it to boil.
-Remove scum,cover & cook on low flame until tender (30-35 minutes).
-In a frying pan,add cooking oil,onion & fry until light golden.
-Add tomatoes,ginger,garlic,green chilli,mix well & cook for 1-2 minutes.
-Add salt,red chilli powder,cumin powder,garam masala powder,mix well & cook for 2-3 minutes.
-Add water & mix well,cover & cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes then cook on high flame until oil separates.
-In lentil pot,add water & mix well.
-Now add prepared masala,mix well & cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes then turn off the flame.
Prepare Tadka:
-In a small frying pan,add cooking oil & heat it.
-Add garlic & fry for 30 seconds.
-Add cumin seeds,button red chillies & mix well.
-Add kashmiri red chilli powder,fresh coriander & mix well.
-Now pour tadka in cooked lentil mixture & mix well.
-Garnish with fresh coriander & serve with rice!

Directions:
-Pot mein chana daal,mong daal,haldi powder aur pani dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ubal anay dein.
-Scum ko remove ker lein aur halki ancch per gul janay tak paka lein (30-35 minutes).
-Frying pan mein cooking oil aur pyaz dal ker light golden ho jaay tak fry ker lein.
-Tamatar,adrak,lehsan aur hari mirch dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur 1-2 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Namak,lal mirch powder,zeera powder aur garam masala powder dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein.
-Pani dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur dhak ker halki ancch per 3-4 minutes kliya paka lein phir tez ancch per oil alag ho janay tak paka lein.
-Daalon mein pani dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Ab tayyar masala dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur halki ancch per 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein phir chulha bund ker dein.
Prepare Tadka:
-Chotay frying pan mein cooking oil dal ker garam karein.
-Lehsan dal ker 30 seconds kliya fry ker lein.
-Zeera ar sabut lal mirch dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Kashmiri lal mirch powder & hara dhania dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Cooked lentil mixture mein tadka dal ker mix ker lein.
-Hara dhania sa garnish ker ka rice ka saath serve karein!
