Ingredients:
- Dahi (Yogurt) 1 Cup
- Lal mirch powder (Red chili powder) 1 tsp
- Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ½ tsp
- Dhania powder (Coriander powder) ½ tbs
- Namak (Salt) 1 tsp or to taste
- Zeera powder (Cumin powder) 1 tsp
- Water as required
- Aloo (Potatoes) small & peeled ½ kg
- Cooking oil 3 tbs
- Lal mirch powder (Red chilli powder) ½ tsp or to taste
- Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
- Haldee powder (Turmeric powder) ¼ tsp
- Cooking oil 3 tbs
- Zeera (Cumin seeds) 1 tbs
- Dried red chillies 3
- Tez pata (Bay leaf) 1
- Laung (Cloves) 3
- Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) 2
- Pyaz (Onion) chopped 1 large
- Kary pata (Curry leaves) 8-10
- Hari mirch (Green chilli) chopped 3
- Adrak lehsan (Ginger garlic) crushed 1 tbs
- Tamatar (Tomatoes) finely chopped 1 large
- Water 1 Cup or as required
- Garam masala powder 1 tsp
- Hara dhania (Fresh coriander) chopped
Directions:
In a bowl,add yogurt,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,salt,zeera powder,whisk well & set aside.
In a pot,add water,potatoes and bring it to to boil,cover and boil until ¾ done (approx. 15 minutes) then strain & set aside.
In a wok,add cooking oil,boiled potatoes,red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder,mix well and fry on low flame until light golden (approx. 6-8 minutes) & set aside.
In the same wok,add cooking oil,cumin seeds,dried red chillies,bay leaf,cloves,green cardamom and mix well.
Add onion and sauté until translucent.
Add curry leaves and mix well.
Add green chilli,ginger garlic,tomatoes and mix well,cover & cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes then cook on high flame until oil separates.
Add spiced yogurt while flame is low and mix well,cover and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
Add water and bring it to boil,add cooked potatoes,garam masala powder and mix well.
Cover & cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes.
Add fresh coriander.
Garnish with fresh coriander & serve!

Bowl mein dahi,lal mirch powder,hakdee powder,dhania powder,namak aur zeera powder dal ker ache tarhan whisk ker lein & side per rakh dein.
Pot mein pani aur aloo dal ker ubal lein aur dhak ker 3/4 th done hunay tak boil ker lein (approx. 15 minutes) phir strain ker ka side per rakh dein.
Karhai mein cooking oil,lal mirch powder,namak aur haldee powder dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur halki ancch per light golden hunay tak fry ker lein (approx. 6-8 minutes) & side per rakh dein.
Us he karhai mein cooking oil,zeera,dried red chillies,tez paat,laung aur hari elaichi dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Pyaz dal ker translucent hunay tak sauté ker lein.
Kary pata dal ker mix karein.
Hari mirch,adrak lehsan aur tamatar dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur dhak ker halki ancch per 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein phir tez ancch per oil alag hunay tak paka lein.
Chulha halka karein aur spiced yogurt dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur dhak ker halki ancch per 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein.
Pani dal ker ubal lein,cooked aloo and garam masala powder dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
Dhak dein aur halki ancch per 8-10 minutes kliya paka lein.
Hara dhania dal dein.
